Life or Death?

Moses said to the Israelites, "I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." Deuteronomy 30:19

What does it mean to you when you have the choice to choose life or death?

How often are we put into situations where the wrong choice could mean the latter, we find ourselves on a path of right or wrong. We know the right choice should be made, but the temptation and the temporary good feeling of the wrong choice supercedes. We know we shouldn't take that extra change given to us at the grocery store, but hey that cashier should have been paying attention is what we tell ourselves. We know we should have let that driver pull out in front of us, but hey we were there first. We know that family needs our help, financially, physically, mentally, but instead we have more important things to do. So why God would say something so obvious in his words, who would choose death instead of life? Its hard sometimes to realize this link between moral wrongs and spiritual death. I believe something in us dies when we m ake unethical, immoral, or dishonest decisions. God always asks us to do what is good for us. When we choose to do right, we choose life; when we choose to do wrong, we choose death. Sometimes obeying God seems to keep us from good opportunities. But n the end, obeying God is the choice that leads us to life.

Help us , O God in daily situations to make choices that please you. Amen

Hmmm now what?

Well today we had a staff meeting, I had decided prior to this day that I was giving my resignation. I had a list of reasons, none bad, just timing, other job interference my still mourning and grieving and that I felt my energy just wasn't into the job. Well my resignation was rejected. For those of you who watched Seinfeld, I felt like George when he tried to break up with his fiance. She listened to all his valid points and at the end said sorry you aren't allowed to break up.

I can and now will be installing the same software I use in the office on my home computer, (must now purchase updated computer) and if needed I can prepare and design newsletter from home. That is my primary function. The other jobs like sending out cards, mailings etc they will get a volunteer if needed, as one of my concerns is that I want to invest more time in Real Estate and this is the primary season for such and I won't and can't always be here. Like today, I had a client that wanted to see some rentals, (by the way those in real estate, showing rentals is so easy, and if you can get at least 4-5 clients a months you can pop in at least $900 -$1000 easily)
I of course have to put them off until Saturday. In this business putting some one off a few days well lets just say when someone wants to see something either you are available or someone else will fill your shoes.

I felt good and bad all in the same sentence. Good as they feel I am exactly what they need in the office as I am resourceful, energetic ( very false energy) and able to handle all that is thrown at me. The bad well I really wanted some time to just absorb all that the past year has thrown at me. I really need a break from everyone and everything, not in a bad way, not like all are invading my life, I don't want to give the impression I want everyone to go away, but I just keep thinking if I can get this reprieve this down time everyone would benefit better in the long run.

So now I am going to come up with a proposal, perhaps working one day at home and the other two in the office. This will give me 3 more days of the week to work on Real Estate, and if I show my youngest how to do the newsletter and the other projects on the computer I can pay her part of my salary. Which will help her alot since she is unemployed and having a baby soon. I also will be paying her to be my assistant in Real Estate one or two days a week.

so now I am sending out a who wants me for a weekend? who maybe won't mind putting me up for a few days, lets see do I want to go northeast or south east? and Who has a room available?
