Focusing on Real Estate

Thats my daily journey lately, who knew it would get this involved. It is exciting and stressful and such a different situation each day. I like finding rentals for people just as much as I do finding a home. It's such a great feeling knowing you put someone in a place that they will feel comfortable. This past week I was able to negoiate for a buyer, that was such a thrill to be able to talk the price down so they can afford to purchase the home and I got the seller to throw in a home warranty.. Seeing this young kids face when I told him the deal was excepted put everything into prospective.
Of course the selfish side of me loves showing homes as I love seeing what each home entails just as much as the potential buyer or renter. Of course listing a home is not as easy. Trying to find a buyer for a home that you have on the market is very stressful especially when you know thier future is riding on your shoulders.

Organizing the different prospects, different properties-holy cow, this is where an assistant would come in handy. Although ttying to communciate each and every message, appointment, phone call to the assistant would prove just as daunting. Lots to learn in this new business I started, looking forward to learning, growing and sharing my journey

it sounds fascinating, even though i know it is hard hard work. i am just starting the process of spiffing up the house to sell it. sadly, as one area gets touched up i see many more. i have decided to do the things that seem like too much work for new buyers....like i will have the ceilings painted because they are the sort of pebble finish and it's harder to do, but i will leave the walls since they aren't bad and are mostly neutral. [one bedroom is a sort of mint green] i figure someone might want to change the paint on the walls and maybe the solid color carpets, but if the ceilings are done it won't look so intimidating. and i'm changing out the fuel tank for a new one, because that's a guy thing: a husband might not mind that the cellar doesn't have a finished floor, just cement [but walls are sheetrocked and ceilings are done down there], but if the well tank, the boiler, and the fuel tank are in good shape, he will know those are things that won't need to be done. still debating about painting the outside of the 2 story barn. it [the barn] isn't finished inside, meaning there is no interior wall or insulation, but there are lights and 220 and 110 power to it, plus a poured cement floor. so it wouldn't be too hard to insulate and make it into a little workshop. but wow, it's hard to stop. once i saw how nice the main part of the cellar looked with new sheetrock ready to be painted a nice white that will reflect the light, i wanted to finish framing the closets down there, etc!!!! even my realtor has said, stop! don't go crazy you won't get it back at the sale. i just want to compete in the market, i know i won't get any more than what someone wants to pay. but in this market, i need to get people inside to look!!!!!

i like your postings and your perspective on the job, it's nice to know someone really wants to match people with houses...
